ABOUT US
The Monticello Recreation Foundation is a
registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
The mission of the Monticello Recreation Foundation is to assist in securing financial and philanthropic support for the Monticello Parks and Recreation Department, and promote awareness of the benefits of all recreation to the community.
OBERHEIM PARK
The dream for Oberheim Park is to develop a multi-sport and recreation complex for our youth in Monticello as well
as the surrounding areas for years to come.
The park plans address Monticello Recreation Foundation’s long term vision planning needs by providing refined urban recreational solutions after a decade of research including—a community impact study, outreach sessions, and a recreational needs assessment.

PHASE 1
* OPENING IN SPRING OF 2027 *
- 4 youth soccer fields
- 2 baseball/softball fields with press box, concessions, storage and restrooms
- 1 multi-use field for football soccer with concessions and storage
- restroom building
- parking lots
- bike and hike trail connection to the Sangamon River Bridge Trail and the Appletree subdivision
We are excited to see the multi-sport and recreation complex
for our youth coming to life!
