2025 Smoke N’ Octane Registration Form
THIS COMPETITION WILL BE LIMITED TO 15 TEAMS
The competition will be backyard-style BBQ
with three different meats:
· Brisket
· Pork Shoulder
· Chicken (any type)
All meats will be presented and judged on:
· Appearance
· Taste
· Texture
· Tenderness
· (NO GARNISH)
Turn In Times:
· Chicken: 12:00pm
· Pork: 12:15pm
· Brisket: 12:30pm
The BBQ competition will take place on North Park Street, west side of historic Pepsin Hill in downtown Monticello. North Park Street is located west of Market Street (IL Route 105)
between W. Livingston and W. Main Streets.
Eligible entries will be provided an overnight parking spot.
Following the last meat turn in, all participants will be given the opportunity to sell 2-ounce samples to the public, at $2.00/sample (approximately 75-100 people). Proceeds will be split 50/50 with the Monticello Recreation Foundation. Tickets will be sold at the MRF tent.

TO THE FIRST 15 TEAMS TO REGISTER.
The competition will be backyard-style BBQ with three meats:
Brisket
Pork Shoulder
Chicken
The competitors will be tasked with filling the air with
fantastic smells of smoked meats and lots of smack talking!
BBQ competition will be located on North Park Street,
west side of historic Pepsin Hill in downtown Monticello.
North Park Street is located west of Market Street (IL Route 105)
between West Livingston and West Main Streets.
Participants should be prepared to sell 2-ounce samples to the interested public, at $2/sample - but it is not required.

There is a $20 entrance fee and limited to the
first 15 teams that register.
